Karl Hein and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Bastian came to the United States, from Germany, about 1887. They were
married in Detroit, Michigan. Karl's name in records found as Carl and Charles. He changed the spelling of
his surname from Hein to Hine. Charles and Minnie lived in Detroit where some of their children were born
before moving north to Bay County, Michigan.
I have been unable to find where in Germany the Hein and Bastian families lived. Nor do I know what ship they traveled on nor the ports of departure and arrival. If you can help me with any of this or you have additional family information please contace me at spicywo@dianesgenealogy.com.
