Carmine DiVencenzo was born in Teramo, Civitella, Abruzzi, Italy, and came to the US in 1903 sailing from Naples. His wife, Anna, was raised in a convent from the age of 10 because her parents had died. Their first daughter, Concetta, was born in Italy; her husband, Pasquale DeSensi, was the cousin of the Charles (Pasquale) DeSensi who married her sister, Teresa.
